Terms of Use
In effect 2026-08-22
The short version
GameDay Live is a free college football app. Here is the whole deal in one place. The sections below say the same things with more care.
- It is free. No subscription, no paywall, nothing to buy.
- You can use it without an account. Signing in with Google, Apple or Facebook is optional.
- Pick'em is for bragging rights. No entry fee, no wagering, no prizes.
- Scores, schedules and stats come from other people. They can be wrong or late. Do not rely on them for anything that matters.
- Betting lines are context only. We have no relationship with any sportsbook.
- Break the Community Guidelines and we can remove your content or end your access.
Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and GameDay Edge, LLC, the company that operates GameDay Live. GameDay Edge, LLC is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Where these terms say we, us or our, they mean GameDay Edge, LLC.
Using GameDay Live means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
Our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Photo Submission Terms and Responsible Gaming page are part of this agreement. Where one of them covers a subject in more detail, that page governs the detail.
How old you have to be
You need to be 13 or older to use GameDay Live. We do not ask your age and nothing in the app checks it, so this is a rule rather than a gate, and a parent is the right person to decide for a younger fan.
If you are under 18, get a parent or guardian to read these terms with you before you post anything. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13 we will remove it.
What GameDay Live is
GameDay Live is a college football app for fans. It runs on the web today. An iOS version is planned and these terms are written to cover it as well.
- Scores, schedules, rankings and standings.
- Team, game and player pages, with rosters and box score stats.
- News headlines that link out to the publisher, plus podcasts and radio streams.
- GameDay Pics, where fans upload game day photos.
- GameDay Live Crew, a panel of AI personas that write previews, takes and picks.
- Pick'em, a free weekly winner picking game, and crews you create to compare picks with friends.
- Favorite teams, a public handle, an optional profile photo and notifications you choose.
It is free
GameDay Live costs nothing to use. There is no subscription, no paywall and no entry fee for any feature. If we ever add something paid, we will say so plainly before you can buy it and we will update these terms first.
Free does not mean unlimited. We can set reasonable limits on uploads, requests, notifications and anything else that has to be shared fairly to keep the app working.
Your account
You do not need an account. By default you are anonymous. We give your browser or device an install id and use it to keep your settings, favorites and uploads attached to you.
You can sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook if you want a permanent account that follows you across devices. Signing in keeps what you already had, so favorites, preferences and picks carry over.
There are no passwords. We never create one for you and we never ask you for one. If anything claiming to be GameDay Live asks you for a GameDay Live password, it is not us.
Some features need a signed in account. Pick'em is one of them, because a leaderboard needs a stable identity.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign in provider secure. Do not share access to it and do not use someone else's account.
Some of your profile is public. Your handle, the flag or region you pick, the logos of your first three favorite teams and your approved profile photo are visible to other users. Choose a handle you are comfortable being seen.
Acceptable use
Use GameDay Live for what it is: following college football. Do not do any of this.
- Break the law, or use the app to harm, harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Post anything that breaks our Community Guidelines.
- Try to reach another user's account, our systems or data you are not meant to see.
- Scrape or bulk copy the app, or resell or redistribute what you find in it.
- Interfere with the service: load testing, denial of service, probing for holes, working around rate limits or security.
- Use bots or automation to create accounts, inflate a leaderboard, farm likes or influence moderation.
- Get around a suspension, including by making a new account or a new install.
- Reverse engineer or copy the app, except where the law says you may.
- Use the app to advertise or sell anything.
The rules for what you post live in the Community Guidelines. Those guidelines are part of these terms.
Photos and anything else you post
You keep ownership of what you post. Your photos, captions, handle, crew name and crew art stay yours.
You give us permission to store, resize, screen and display what you post inside GameDay Live so the app can do its job, and to show it in material promoting GameDay Live itself. That permission is not exclusive, we pay nothing for it, and it covers the copies we need to operate the service, including backups and moderation copies. It lasts while your content is on the service.
That is the whole of it. We do not sell what you post, we do not license it to anybody else, and we do not put it in a paid advertisement, in a sponsor’s material or in the SideLine products we sell to coaches. For a photo, the exact grant is written out in the Photo Submission Terms, and widening it would mean asking you again rather than editing a page.
You promise that what you post is yours to post and does not break anyone else's rights.
If a photo shows a person who can be identified, get their permission before you post it. If the person might be a minor, do not post it. Where permission is missing or unclear, or a subject may be a minor, we stop and a person at GameDay Edge reviews it, and we will take the media down.
Photos in GameDay Pics are reviewed by a person before they appear. Profile photos and crew art are screened automatically, and a flagged image is rejected and deleted. Any user can report a photo. We can take anything down at any time, and we are not obliged to keep, restore or explain a decision about a single piece of content.
We do not collect your location. Nothing you upload carries a coordinate and there is no location prompt anywhere in GameDay Live. The Privacy Policy covers the one related thing worth knowing, which is the hidden data your own camera writes into a photo file.
Deleting your account does not delete your photos. They stay in the feed and stop being linked to you. Ask us to take a photo down if that is what you want.
Pick'em
Pick'em is a free weekly game. You pick the straight up winner of each game on a curated slate. One tap per game. Some weeks add an optional predicted score used only as a tiebreaker.
Pick'em is for bragging rights only. There is no entry fee, no purchase, no wagering and no prize of any kind. Nothing of value is at stake. It is deliberately not a contest, not a sweepstakes and not a betting product.
- Picks are winner only. There is no point spread and no line involved in scoring.
- Picks lock at kickoff. After that they cannot be changed.
- Your individual picks are never public. Crew mates see one of your picks only after that game has kicked off.
- Leaderboard records update on a daily reveal at 9am Eastern, so a result shows up the next morning.
- A leaderboard row and a public player profile show a handle, a region flag, favorite team logos, an approved profile photo and a record. Nothing else.
We can correct a result, regrade a game, rebuild a slate or reset a record when the underlying data was wrong. Grading depends on third party data, so a record is a fun number and not a finding of fact.
Crews
A crew is a group you make yourself. You name it, you share a join link and anyone who taps that link joins. There is no approval list and no invite review.
- The crew owner can rename the crew, remove a member or hand ownership to someone else. That is the whole control surface.
- The owner sets the crew logo, hero image, colors and tagline. Images go through the same screening as profile photos.
- A join link is a key. Anyone who has it can join, so share it only with people you want in.
- You can be in more than one crew and you can leave a crew.
- Members compare picks inside the crew, under the kickoff reveal rule above.
The owner is responsible for the crew name, art and tagline under the Community Guidelines. We can rename, hide or delete a crew that breaks them, and removing a crew removes it for every member.
A crew you create is not the same thing as GameDay Live Crew, which is our AI panel.
Content that comes from other people
Much of what you see in GameDay Live comes from someone else. We display it. We do not own it and we cannot vouch for it.
- Scores, schedules, rosters and stats
- Sourced from ESPN. We read, store and display them. They can be wrong, incomplete or late, and an upstream error flows straight through to us.
- News
- Headlines and links from publisher feeds. Tapping one takes you to the publisher site, which has its own terms and its own privacy practices. The article belongs to the publisher.
- Podcasts and radio
- Episodes and live streams come from the publisher feed or the station. We play what the feed gives us. The rights stay with them and they can pull or change anything at any time.
- GameDay Live Crew
- Our AI panel writes previews, takes and picks. It is machine generated commentary that we review before publishing, and it can still be wrong. Treat it as opinion and entertainment, not reporting.
- Betting lines
- Shown as context only and off unless you turn them on. A sportsbook may be named as the source of a line. Naming a source is attribution, not promotion.
- Fan travel
- Trip packages come from Trip On Sports, a separate company. See the next section.
Team names, logos, conference marks, publisher brands and sportsbook names belong to their owners. We use them to identify who or what we are talking about. We make no claim to them, and their presence here does not imply an endorsement in either direction.
What we do own is our own work: the GameDay Live app, its design and code, our own written and AI panel content, our brand and the layouts we built. We claim no rights in the underlying ESPN data or in any publisher article, episode or image we link to or display.
If you think something here is yours
Email [email protected]. Tell us which photo, article, image or piece of text you mean, what you hold the rights to, how to reach you, and that you believe the use is not authorised. We will review it and take it down where that is the right answer.
A fan who keeps posting other people’s work loses the ability to post. We would rather do that than keep taking down the same account’s uploads.
Being straight about a gap: GameDay Edge, LLC has not registered a designated copyright agent with the Copyright Office. The address above is the channel that actually reaches us, and we are not going to point you at a formal process we have not set up.
Fan travel, and how we get paid for it
GameDay Live shows fan travel packages from Trip On Sports. Trip On Sports is a third party. They sell the trip, they set the price and the terms, and they are responsible for delivering it.
When you tap a travel card, we record the click on our side and then send you to their site. GameDay Edge may earn a commission if you book. That is a paid partner arrangement, so treat the placement as advertising rather than as a recommendation.
We are not the seller, the travel agent or the insurer for any trip. Read their terms before you pay them anything. A problem with a booking is between you and them.
Advertising
Promotions inside GameDay Live are our own, for the GameDay Edge family of products. We run no third party ad networks, we embed no ad SDKs, we do not track you across other sites and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
The fan travel card is the one placement where a third party can pay us. If that changes, we will label the new placement and update these terms.
Betting lines and responsible gaming
Betting lines in GameDay Live are informational context only. We are not a sportsbook. We take no bets, we hold no gaming license, we have no affiliate or referral relationship with any sportsbook and there is no way to place a bet from this app.
Lines are off by default. You turn them on in settings and you can turn them off again at any time.
Nothing in GameDay Live is betting advice. Not a line, not a Pick'em pick, not a win probability, not an AI panel take. Our data can be wrong or delayed, so do not use it to decide a wager. Sports betting is legal only in some places and only for adults.
If gambling is causing harm for you or for someone close to you, read Responsible Gaming.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using GameDay Live at any time. If you signed in, you can sign out, and you can delete your account outright. In the iOS app that is in Settings, under Account. On the web, email us and we will do it. Photos you posted stay in the feed with nothing linking them to you, which the Privacy Policy explains in full.
We can remove content, hide a photo, reset a handle, rename or delete a crew, adjust a leaderboard record, suspend an account or end your access to the app. We will do that when:
- you break these terms or the Community Guidelines
- you post media of an identifiable person without permission, or media that may show a minor
- you manipulate a leaderboard, use automation, or open accounts to get around a suspension
- we are required to act by law, or we reasonably believe someone is at risk
- we retire the feature, or we stop offering the service
For anything that is not a safety or legal problem, we will try to warn you first and to keep the response proportionate. For a safety problem we act first.
If your access ends, content you posted may be removed. We keep some records, such as moderation and abuse history, so that a ban is not trivially reset. The Privacy Policy covers what we hold.
The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability and these general terms survive the end of your use.
No warranty
GameDay Live is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will be accurate, complete, current, secure, uninterrupted or fit for any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement.
Scores, clocks, stats, schedules, rankings, kickoff times, weather and win probabilities can be wrong or delayed. Do not rely on anything in GameDay Live for a decision that matters. That includes travel, tickets, money, a wager, a school or media use, or anything official. Check the official source.
Some places do not allow disclaimers like these. Where that is true, this section applies only as far as the law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, GameDay Edge, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, wasted expenditure or the cost of substitute services, arising from your use of GameDay Live or from anything you relied on in it.
GameDay Live is free. Our total liability to you for every claim connected to it is limited to what you have paid us to use it, which is nothing, except where the law does not permit that limit.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. That includes fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and any consumer right you cannot sign away.
These limits apply to GameDay Edge, LLC and to its owners, employees and contractors.
If your use causes us a claim
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you posted or what you did in GameDay Live, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of handling it, to the extent the claim is caused by you. We will tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in the defense.
Which law applies, and where a dispute goes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. GameDay Edge, LLC is in Tulsa, and a dispute about GameDay Live or about these terms goes to the state or federal courts in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. We both consent to those courts.
There is no arbitration clause here and no class action waiver. You are not signing away your right to a court or to a jury.
Where the law of the place you live gives you a right you cannot sign away, or sends a consumer claim to a court near you, that law wins over this section. Nothing here is meant to take a protection off you.
Before anything formal, email us. Most of what a fan is annoyed about is something we can just fix.
Changes
We change GameDay Live often. We can add, change or remove features, data sources, slates, seasons and partners, and we can stop offering the app. Nothing here promises that a feature stays forever.
We can also change these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. For a change that materially affects you, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Using the app after a change means you accept the updated version.
This page, at the date shown, is the current version. There is no other agreement about GameDay Live unless we have signed one with you.
